Some rescues have been ill-treated and their lives are just beginning. They all need the security of loving homes where they can rebuild their lives and find happiness.
All adoptions are completed in person at Takis Shelter.
For the safety and well-being of the animals in our care, we do not allow unscheduled visits. Walk-ins will be turned away and instructed to book an appointment before returning to the shelter.
We do NOT ship cats. Please do not ask. It is against Greek law to ship unaccompanied cats to another country.
It is very important that you meet your prospective new family member in person, and that you choose each other. This is the first step in ensuring that you will have a long and happy life together!
There are NO adoption fees. We ask only that you pay for the final veterinary health check, pet passport, an IATA-compliant animal carrier, and transportation costs to your final destination.
